How is hands-on intervention different?
Many providers are contractually limited to observing and reporting. Prime officers actively step in, within the law, to make apprehensions, recover merchandise and remove disorderly subjects. Company policy requires two officers present for any hands-on intervention.
Are your officers licensed, armed and insured?
Yes. All response officers are armed, licensed and trained beyond state minimums, and they work under Prime’s liability coverage. Documentation is available on request.
Do you serve both Portland and Vancouver?
Yes. Prime protects homes and businesses across the Portland–Vancouver metro, with officers licensed through Oregon DPSST and the Washington Department of Licensing.
How are your officers trained?
Every officer completes state certification plus Prime’s own pre-hire orientation, supervised posts, and a 17-area training matrix that includes de-escalation, restraint safety, first aid and report writing. Armed officers qualify with their duty firearm every year and train regularly on the range. See our Training page for details.
What if my assigned officer calls out?
Nothing changes for you. A relief officer covers your site immediately, so it never goes unprotected.
How does Prime actually reduce my losses?
Two ways: active deterrence that stops theft where passive guards cannot, and restored visible safety that brings back the customers an unsafe store loses.
How will I know the work is being done?
Every patrol and checkpoint is GPS-verified and documented in detailed reports. You also get a direct line to Prime management.
Do your officers wear body cameras?
Yes. Every officer is issued a body-worn camera and activates it on any enforcement contact, with recording notices that comply with Oregon and Washington law. Footage is reviewed after every reportable incident.
What happens after a use of force?
Medical aid comes first. A full report is filed the same shift, and a supervisor reviews the report and footage within 72 hours. Serious incidents go to a review panel within 10 business days.
How much does security cost?
Pricing depends on coverage hours, armed or unarmed posts, and the plan your site evaluation recommends. We provide a clear quote after a free site evaluation.
What happens during a site evaluation?
A Prime supervisor walks your home, business or location, reviews incident history, entry points, lighting, cameras and hours, and talks with you about your concerns. You then receive a written security plan and a clear quote. The evaluation is free and carries no obligation.

How quickly can Prime start?
Start time follows a site assessment and agreement. Most programs deploy quickly, and your custom security plan includes a clear timeline.
