De-escalation first
Officers use DPSST tactical communication: stay calm, listen, explain what will happen, and give real opportunities to comply.
Our officers
The single greatest risk in security is the individual on post. We control that risk at the source: who we hire, how we vet them, and how we hold them accountable.
Hiring & vetting
Our core hiring pool is officers our management team has personally stood post with, taken apprehensions with, and watched in high-stress situations. We know how they react when it matters, because we have seen it.
Calm and level-headed under pressure. A professional with nothing to prove.
Ego-driven behavior, a chip on the shoulder, or a need to prove toughness.
The Prime profile
Every Prime officer must show the judgment to de-escalate whenever possible and the training to respond decisively when de-escalation fails. Candidates who show only one side are not hired.
Officers use DPSST tactical communication: stay calm, listen, explain what will happen, and give real opportunities to comply.
Tactical and defensive-tactics training means officers can choose the minimum force needed, without panic or overreaction.
Every contact happens in front of your customers. A calm officer makes shoppers feel safer, not policed.
For candidates not personally known to management
De-escalation, use-of-force standards and Prime post procedures.
The new hire stands post with a trusted team member or a member of management.
Footage is reviewed during probation and drives documented, individual coaching.
Officers who do not meet the standard after coaching are released. We do not carry marginal performers to fill a schedule.
